Pros

Corporate Office location is in the heart of the Fort Worth arts district, close to food, shopping, and more. CEO is openly Christian and hosts weekly volunteer bible study. Company is growing at a fast pace, so opportunity for career advancement is high.

Cons

Work load was unbalanced between team members. Current department manager is a dictator delegating all responsibilities and allowing their 'side business' to affect work. Demands more from employees than they contribute. Upper management took no action to resolve inappropriate behavior, instead allowing the manager to retaliate against the victim

Pros

Work is challenging and interesting. Contributing to the upkeep of power generation facilities can give you a real sense of accomplishment and purpose. You are given the autonomy to solve issues the way you see fit. Salary is very good and benefits (Health/Bonus) are great.

Cons

Clients are under tremendous pressure to keep costs down. This pressure is passed along to you and givebacks simply to keep the relationship going are common. I've had 3 bosses in twelve months. My department's management has recently been gutted and filled with non-technical individuals with little or no industry experience. Despite being a publicly traded company with offices all over the world, the CEO feels compelled to routinely share his personal worldview with all employees via email on certain religious holidays and political milestones. The intranet site is full of ads to purchase literature with a certain religious outlook to it. Chaplains have been hired to routinely visit our location. They do not overtly proselytize, but they all come from a singular religious background.
