Pros

In the past views both positive and negative were welcomed. ActOnians respected those present and past.

Cons

Now the culture has ActOnians on the 'inside' shunning those on the 'outside'. Sad. "Former Act-Onians, stop your whining and move on" seems to be in parallel with the current political climate.

Pros

When I got hired here, I loved this job. It had everything I wanted. A standing desk, a break room with company snacks and drinks provided, scooters to scoot on, ping pong, chess, bean bags, etc. Everyone here was open and honest. If something happened, the company would know about it an hour later, no rumors. The people working here were super nice, (managers and colleagues) and the pay was great. The benefits were instant, I got them from day one. Hours were amazing, my manager worked with me if I needed anything. And there was room for advancement, so I heard. -Good Benefits (Medical, Dental, 401k, Vision, fitness reimbursement, public transportation reimbursement) -Instant PTO -Break room snacks -Scooters, ping pong, chess, beanbags -Amazing team to work with -Wonderful area -Spacious office

Cons

After about a month or two working here, they laid off 60 people with nor warning. An email for a mandatory meeting and hour before, and then 10 minutes to get your stuff and leave. People who have been there for years got laid off, and people who have been there for a short time got laid off, simply because they were 'new'. All because Sales couldn't meet their quota. -Horrible planning techniques by upper management -Training was only 2-3 weeks to learn the entire software -Job security (Anyone could get laid off)

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and provide your perspective. I value communication and have been trying to create a culture of transparency and collaboration in a fun work environment. It’s never easy to make these types of decisions. Please know that this was not a decision that we took lightly. I recognize that it impact people's lives and their careers. And I’m sorry that this impacted you so early in your tenure at Act-On.

Pros

Pockets of talented people. Previous plus's included (what made it fun to work at ActOn in the past) 1) everyone was passionate about the company, our place in the market and respected and enjoyed each-other. 2) Tons of recognition for the hard work 3) Trips with friends and family - aka many of your colleagues were just that 4) Catered lunches 5) Lots of social gatherings and outings to blow off steam and connect with coworkers. 6) We actually hit our sales targets - lots and lots of people over 100% of their sales quotas (new insecure leadership downplays this big time and says it wasn't good business) All $50 million of it..... 7) Our CS Team really took good care of our customers - they really cared and it showed in their work. 8) Our TS Team was fantastic 9) Marketing actually generated leads 10) The leadership team didn't have drunken affairs with employees The downward spiral started when KJ joined the company and started bringing over all the jive flunkies.

Cons

Disingenuous people. Power hungry untalented and uninspired people joining the company in Portland over the last few years. They think giving it 100% is strolling in at 9am, closing their doors, taking an hour and half lunch and then going to drink beer and wine at 3pm. Ohh and then swing back by the office and walk the floor to see who is still there before cutting out soon after. I cannot believe that the Board has no idea what a terrible job the executive team is doing. Just look at the growth Act-On had in the first 5-years. 90% of the people there today had nothing to do with the growth and have no idea what to do to reignite it.
