Pros

Lots of benefits. Ability to work from home. Easy to get to location.

Cons

The product is really in a beta stage with no signs of upward movement. There's a large amount of dysfunction within the company. Processes don't exist to get things done on time and lots of confusion. Departments don't communicate well. Lots of frustration. Not sure how the sales team even manages to close deals.

As the reviewer pointed out, we offer all the great things you can typically find at a start-up: dysfunction, lack of process, confusion, frustration, and even the occasional disgruntled employee. Building a company is hard. It’s even harder when you are really innovating and creating something new. We are actively taking steps to improve our internal communication and processes. Regarding our direction, we have never wavered in our mission to provide the best platform for marketers to manage their lead acquisition campaigns. Future reviewers - please give feedback directly in a constructive way. I’m always accessible and appreciate it when employees bring suggestions for improvement. - Steve Rafferty, Founder.

Pros

- Great people and engineering leaders - Company retreat - Goal and objective oriented company

Cons

- Misalignment between leaders and investors - Mediocre pay compared to competitors - Some corporate fluff to ease truth - They monitor and delete negative but TRUTHFUL reviews on glassdoor. Beware. This will probably get flagged falsely as well..

We’re saddened to hear that you had a negative experience. We do not flag and delete reviews, that is not something we are able to do, nor something that we desire to do. We take all feedback seriously, and have many avenues for our team members to provide feedback or to seek clarity (we even have multiple anonymous options as well). We have and will continue to provide multiple opportunities for feedback, and to continuously improve the employee experience. As a former team member, if you desire to provide feedback on how we could do better, please feel free to send us a note at hr@activeprospect.com.

Pros

I've only been here a little while, but have been able to contribute from the start. There is a lot of room for growth and the team is focused on working together instead of competing internally. The company is small, so it retains the best qualities of a startup (fun, driven, flexible), but it doesn't carry the insanity that often comes with startup life. The location is great (Hyde Park) and the office is comfortable and open.

Cons

I haven't seen a downside yet. Again, the company is small, so there's a need to be smart, and scrappy, which I see as an upside, but may not work for people used to large teams of specialists and big budgets.
