Adobe Singapore - Southeast Asia office

Pros

Adobe is one of the most recognisable brands in the world In USA they try to set an example of being a good employer

Cons

The Singapore office is extremely political, with people focused more on managing upwards than actually serving the customers. The sales team are basically relationship managers, and some are rather shallow (eg showing off on instagram about the lavish parties they throw). They also tend to oversell to customers for solutions they will not use realistically, so in the end only 10-20% of the solution is used - all this because of the high pressure on numbers and their own fat commissions. Many people do not actually do their work, setting up redundant overseas meetings to sponsor their own vacations for which Adobe expenses pay a large part for.

Great company let down by bad manager

Pros

Great work-life balance culture, which is highly appreciated. Innovative products that can truly make a difference in people's lives. Co-workers are nice, helpful and very supportive

Cons

Manager doesn't care about about work-life balance. She only cares about her numbers and not your well-being. Too many unnecessary internal meetings, no time for prospecting activities. She has poor understanding of the business, including products and BDR responsibilities. Always criticising the team with no solutions to offer. She is great at delegating her work to others and tends communicate passive aggressively.

Pros

generous allowance perks. Remote work is allowed though limited and very good maternity benefits

Cons

HORRIBLE work environment, very political. Management is unstable and does not know what is happening on the field. This place is run by people who has no competence but just know how to suck up to upper management. No real work is rewarded but just lip service. The sales person does not even know what they are selling and no alignment among the team members whatsoever. sales numbers can be changed however they like with no clear guidelines. The worst is the company can fire you at anytime with no clear reasons. They will blame you for everything so they don't have to pay severance VERY UNETHICAL. AVOID this company at all cost unless you like crazy work politics.
