Pros

- Potent cocktail of sales-driven development leveraging panic-driven decision making brings exciting new features when you least expect it. - Code-and-fix-maybe methodology means never being plagued by doubt. - Contractual obligations to provide solutions unsupported by existing product and ahead of scheduled feature completion provide many opportunities for creative feature usage by the resourceful engineer. - Forging the kind of deep bonds with colleagues that can only be accomplished via excessive shared suffering. - Opportunity to do all kinds of things outside your job description. - Exotic front-end frameworks. - Thrillingly abnormalized database - Hotpatch Thursdays. Hotpatch Fridays. Hotpatch Mondays. Hotpatch Tuesdays. Hotpatch Wednesdays. Build day Hotpatch days. Happy hour hotpatching. Hotpatches so hot, you can use them to sear steak.

Cons

- Adobe Flash. - Gong. - Poor office/meeting room soundproofing. - Hangouts Chat. - Customers not seeing the beauty in chaos. - Lack of opportunity to do any of the things in your job description. - Supporting Internet Explorer.

Pros

The only positive thing for me working at agreement express was working from home. I also liked working with a young and dynamic sales and marketing team that was passionate about the product and the company. Unfortunately with their very limited experience and isolation from the rest of the company affairs, they did not see where the company was failing. Most of them are fresh grads and on temporary contracts.

Cons

Contrary to what the company claims or the marketing team brags about, Agreement Express is not a SaaS platform. When it takes more than 6 months to onboard a new client, it cannot be talked about as SaaS. Agreement Express relies on heavy development rather than minor customization when onboarding a new client. Contrary to what the company claims, it is not a FinTech company. Although Agreement Express does work with Financial Institutions, it functions as a primitive software shop than your average FinTech company of today. Contrary to what the company claims, they are not a startup. Although they do try to run it as a startup, it is not working. At tech startups, developers are kings. At Agreement Express, it is the sales and marketing team that get all the attention. There is no investment in developers, product development or quality. I have worked with many of the clients that the company brags about on their website, and everyday there are problems and issues. While management was quickly to discount those issues as “this is software and issues are expected”, they did cause a lot of problems and pain to their clients. When you work with financial institutions and insurance companies, daily disruption cannot be the norm and is only a reflection of how archaic and bloated the software is. I used the software to file my expenses and requested vacation and about most of the time it did not work and it crashed. Despite marketing attempts to get feedback/testimonials from clients about our software, they failed to do so proving how unhappy clients were with our software. There is no software quality assurance resulting in code that has enormous bugs and crashed 90% of the times. Commissions were never paid on time and I had to constantly beg and ask for my commissions. At many occasions, we were asked to lie to investors and board members on the current affairs of the company. The only thing on management’s mind is growing and selling the company rather than investing in making the product better and despite their numerous attempts to reach out to investors to raise money, they did not succeed because investors are not fools are not going to buy into your story telling magic. Nepotism is rampant. Everybody at the company glorifies the CEO and he is good at rallying the troops behind him with his good story telling and leadership skills. He is also well connected and is able to bring in new clients. However, to scale the company is going to need a little bit more than the CEO's buddies. If you are a developer, your chances are better elsewhere. If you are in sales, go find a good product or technology to sell. If you are in marketing, go market a product without having to misrepresent what it actually does. If you are mediocre, desperate and without any ambition, this is the place for you.

Pros

People here are great here mostly. Fast growing company with extensive and well experienced sales and marketing staff. Great CEO and other management. You get to see him almost everyday in the office.

Cons

It's a chaotic job. People leave more and more as company is growing older. No one who is experienced and have the skills would want to stay because company unknowingly keeps limiting their ability to be more productive. Too many big clients but many are not happy. Development team is pretty outstanding and do whatever they can to keep the clients happy. Only department I see happy with what they are doing is marketing and sales.
