Pros

Good pay and benefits. The large workload and diversity of tests give great experience, which lead to me netting a good job. Other co-workers give some comeradery.

Cons

It's a meat grinder built to steal your soul. The hours are unreasonable for salaried. If you are singleband don't want a social life it's fine for a while but this job will consume your waking hours. Space is cramped, and everyone is generally crabby due to the extreme top down stress permeating the power structure. Don't just read these words take a look at the unstable stock price over the years that should tell you more that you need to know.

Pros

Benefits . Hard working co-workers. Company functions. Perks.

Cons

Outdated facilities, specially labs. Understaffed, paper-based quality operations. Each person handles workload for at least 2. People are tired, stressed out and overloaded. Upper Management is aware of problems but does not admit. New hire inherit load of issues and can not catch up, since are overloaded with new requests/priorities. Instead of support and providing tools for success, upper Mgmt. (local and corporate) sets up new talent for failure. In addition, these "leaders" (no leadership skill there) easily point fingers and blame others, even their own reports to save their own skin. Unbelievable. Instead of Team Work, mentorship and support, new hire are left on their own and tangled in extreme corporate politics, lack of accountability and back-stabbing environment. Good workers are leaving one by one and remaining are in-process of job searching.

Pros

Rapidly growing company and opportunity to learn and gain alot of experience.

Cons

Complete disconnect and no communication or support given by some executive management for the associates. EXTREME pressure and workload. No planning or support. No work life balance or opportunity for growth (management/leadership position). Seriously consider other opportunities before considering Akorn.
