High Stress, Little Recognition, and Pointless Management
Pros
The colleagues were the best part of the job. It took a while to get in with them, but once I did, the staff below management were very friendly and supportive
Cons
The company has a habit of piling on extra responsibilities under the guise of being ‘temporary,’ only to make them permanent without any additional pay or recognition. They claim to be ‘all about the people,’ but in reality, senior management and HR show little genuine care for staff. Departments are divided, with a strong ‘that’s not my job’ culture. While they promote plenty of career growth opportunities, these only seem to apply to those who are already in favor with management. Most managers are ineffective — they don’t step in to help, they just point fingers or throw staff under the bus. At the very top, one individual controls everything, and the culture of fear means no one dares challenge unreasonable demands.
