Pros

Fairly consistent work schedule. You can expect an 8-5 Monday/Friday schedule in the majority of the locations (Homewood sales and delivery drivers have a slightly different schedule). Paid holidays and holidays off, benefits for health, dental, vision, and 401k/Roth IRA. The owner goes out of his way to reward employees with meals for holidays, fun activities, and contests like pumpkin decorating for Halloween and Secret Santa during Christmas. Most managers are welcome to offer advice and assistance with customer concerns, PTO requests, and personal issues. Areas with a turnover rate exceeding others have a high turnover rate regardless of the company. For the most part, other coworkers and I have made our role into a career with a vision of growth and long-term fulfillment. A good portion of the company has been here for 10 years or more. There is an opportunity for any employee to climb the ladder from an entry-level position to another they may enjoy as well. Employees are all very friendly and add value to an already pleasant workplace. Sales coworkers are "appliance nerds" and available for questions and chats about the appliance specs, features, and new products.

Cons

Other locations (not the Homewood showroom) could benefit from more of the owner's overview. They seem to be much more relaxed with less attention to operating a luxury business. They have open holes where appliances could be, a delayed response time to urgent matters like installation coordination and service submissions, and titled managers who also operate as a sales representative making their time less available to employees who rely on them for guidance and feedback. Break areas are semi-bare and could benefit from an upgrade. With a relaxing area, fewer employees would enjoy their lunch/break time away from their desks.

HQ is old, dirty and run down, next to the train tracks, which means every once in a while, you'll be stuck after hours waiting for the train to move. Located in one of the worst parts of town. Keep your doors locked and your gun cocked. Employees are over worked and under paid. Managment acts like correctional officers. They look over your shoulder and ask what you are working on but are nowhere to be found when needed. Zero training. Zero motivation. Zero growth opportunities. This is an entry level job at best. At worst, pretty much the worst place I have ever worked.

Pros

No micromanaging and get bathroom breaks without a problem

Cons

This is not at their retail location but their warehouse/customer service location. First its in a really run down part of town near ACIPCO. Management is lax but the facility is so old and feels like a death trap. People will buy very expensive appliances from this place but they get damaged in box due to lack of quality control.
