Pros

New President - New Sales Team Leader - A Strong investment in Company Growth. Over the past 14 months ( since we've been under new management ) I have seen a significant change in the company. From its desire and efforts to grow and expand the business to the way it communicates with and treats its employees! The walls have been knocked down and company transparency is at an all-time high. AlphaCard has turned into a great place to work. Thank god. What a difference the last year plus has made. Employees are now kept in the loop with company goals and milestones reached, as well as future plans and company strategy. Clearly we are on a growth path and its encouraging to see and nice to be a part of. I look forward to 2017 and beyond.

Cons

Compared to the old days - none to speak of.

Scam disguised as legitimate business

Pros

You get to work with some great folks. It is a medium sized company and it is easy to bond with people. Everyone is always super helpful and patient. It's a generally stress-free environment.

Cons

Don't expect to get a decent pay. This is a job you accept in order to barely get by for a couple of months until you can find something better. Benefits are mediocre at best (even for a medium sized business) so don't expect to get much from that. Management is not transparent at all and your salary fluctuates for reasons they can't fully explain. There is always a shady feeling about everything they do in general. There is no room for growth.

The evolution of AlphaCard continues to this day. AlphaCard is under a new management team since December 2015 and many positive changes have taken place in terms of career advancement and positive upbeat culture. I hope all of our employees feel encouraged by the direction of the business and feel they can build a career they can be proud of at AlphaCard.

Deceived

Pros

You are not expected to work past work hours. Sometime it seems like the management tries.

Cons

Your salary is a range meaning you get paid between 42,000 and 52,000. The high end is where you should be at typically. They claim during the interview process that you'll be paid the high end of that but you are not. Some people barely hit the middle of their range. How they pay on the scale is based on some invisible system uncontrollable by the employee. Another thing they do is hire some people on as an independent contract basis illegally. They bring you in full-time under the supervision of a manager but claim you as an independent contractor. Tax fraud. I also believe most of their Glassdoor reviews to be fake as they are in the business of deceiving their employees. The medical insurance is awful and no dental insurance is included.
