The job started out okay, but then micromanaging got so out of control. I couldn't take it any longer, so I left the company.

Cons

Micromanagement, stressful work, unfriendly coworkers, office gossip, no sick leave, not flexible with hours, poor management, no room for advancement

Pros

Solid growth over the past 10 years and over all excellent job security if you work hard and are willing to do some travel. Benefits are very competitive and you get regular reviews and wage increases. Family company and you do see the family owners and leaders in operations! You will find many people that have worked at Alter for 10,20,30 and 40 years! Lots of experienced people with a wind range of experience.

Cons

The company foot print is very wide so if you cover all the locations you are on the road most of the time and spend lots of time away from home. But the plus is you have some great people out in the operations to work with!

Good, solid company to work for. Steady work, clear concise "rules" that apply to everyone. Decent benefits package.

Cons

Cookie-cutter program for new acquisitions. Tend to keep employees based on their wage status as opposed to job knowledge, overall intelligence.
