Short-sighted management is so focused on metrics that they ignore talented employees
Pros
Coworkers are decent to work with, and employees receive a couple of benefits. While the work itself isn't too hard, with how unreasonable the management can be, your job can unexpectedly turn needlessly difficult from time to time.
Cons
Working for America Works has got to be one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have ever had. Management is incompetent and short-sighted; they care about metrics above everything else. They think that working longer hours means getting more work done, but it really just means employees getting exhausted. I've seen a lot of talented people go unnoticed and unrewarded despite their major contributions, all because they worked fast. It's honestly ridiculous how being mediocre and doing the bare minimum is rewarded, while doing your absolute best is ignored.
