Pros

This company has some good benefits and perks (interesting social giving platform, unlimited PTO, free medical insurance though the plan is limited), but is average for tech jobs honestly.

Cons

You might get a good salary but the work environment and toxic culture isn’t worth it for me. Leadership and management is very unprofessional when interacting one on one. I was shocked by the behavior and language used when talking to their reports. So this unprofessionalism gets passed down the ranks and creates a very negative environment. Company goals are nonexistent and yet there is unreasonable pressure to meet them at all costs (how can you meet a goal when you don’t know what it is? Leaderships says “That’s not my issue, the board needs it met!”). Deadlines constantly change. You don’t have the tools and access to data to do your job and no one seems to care. Leadership and management are out of touch and only interested in their own promotions. I never saw a single person get a raise or promotion except a few favorites who had been with the company for several years so the review cycle and leveling system is pointless. You won’t be proud of the work you’re doing if that matters to you at all. Everything is so convoluted and political you’ll question what you were even hired to do in the first place. Overall would not recommend working here if you can find something else.

Pros

Working fully remote, co-workers and the perks were nice.

Cons

As other people who have worked there and submitted reviews on Glassdoor have said, it is a toxic workplace. It all depends on the department you're working in as well as your manager but of course that applies to any company. For a company that strives to be a best place to work, and helping one another succeed, it falls short. Executive Management and company wide management don't seem to be aligned. Don't make any mistakes, even small, irrelevant ones as those will come back to bite you. Core values of be human and empathy only go so far, they sound great but follow-through is almost non-existent. There's good and bad at every company, unfortunately some people just do not make good managers and that drives good talent away.

Pros

Nothing that can pull down the cons.

Cons

Appfire, once touted for its vibrant company culture and fostering of human values, now reveals a stark duality. Behind the facade of inclusivity lies a toxic reality. The management, perpetuates a culture of favoritism and ladder-climbing at the expense of genuine talent and dedication. Formerly a beacon of employee-centricity, Appfire now traverses the murky path of corporate greed and profit-chasing. The once-resonant pulse of its workforce now faintly echoes amidst the clamor for financial gain. New hires are seduced by false promises of a nurturing environment, only to be disillusioned upon experiencing the stark contrast between rhetoric and reality. The company's trajectory, driven by the insatiable thirst for monetary success, has forsaken the very essence of its workforce—the human element. In the cacophony of corporate rhetoric, genuine human connection is drowned out by the relentless pursuit of profit margins. Appfire's descent into mediocrity serves as a cautionary tale of how noble intentions can be eroded by the corrosive influence of corporate greed. Appfire's facade of integrity crumbles upon closer inspection, revealing a company rife with hypocrisy and disdain for its workforce. While professing a commitment to human values, Appfire operates with a callous disregard for the well-being of its employees. Gone are the days of Appfire's purported culture of inclusivity and respect. In its place, a relentless pursuit of profit at the expense of employee satisfaction and dignity. The abrupt dismissal of the Chief of Human Resources without notice serves as a chilling testament to the company's lack of regard for its own principles. The so-called "People partners" are revealed as nothing more than two-faced manipulators, feigning concern while actively contributing to the erosion of employee trust and morale. In the cesspool of corporate hypocrisy, Appfire's once-glowing reputation now lies tarnished by a legacy of broken promises and hollow platitudes.
