It's hard to speak up or be honest to leadership. Conformity is preferred. Poor work life balance. I can't emphasize this enough. No amount of TOIL can compensate for the time taken away from rest and family over bank holidays and weekends. The cofounding couple is ON working 24/7. It's a culture of overwork. It adds more pressure and unrealistic performance expectations if you don't work at the same pace. Like with any startup, there's a lack in resources, fluctuating morale, and a high turnover.
