It WAS a great place to work in the past, but...
Pros
The schedule flexibility and the opportunity to work with relevant clients are AC's key differentials. Not only that, thanks to well-thought career tools designed to guide you where to improve next, the company has a lot of learning opportunities for their employees. Finally, they are always eager to collect your feedback, but there's a caveat on that...
Cons
All went downhill after the Compass Group buyout in late 2022. Since them, AC became more worried about the IPO than taking care of what made them special: investing in top tier consultants. Nowadays, increase profit at any cost became their only priority, resulting in a series of layoffs in mid 2023 that bashed their well-built internal structure, lack of salary or benefits upgrades for more than 2 years and unachievable goals in key internal areas. Worse than that, all of this occurred while we saw people being promoted and new physical offices being opened in a weekly basis. The turnover rate did not get worse due to the US economic situation in the period, trapping a lot of consultants in their current positions as there was nowhere else to go, however the company lost a considerable amount of great talents nevertheless. They tried to cover their bases by carrying out satisfaction surveys to hear their employees opinions, but as far as I know, we never heard any updates or action plans to turn things around after that. What matters to constantly keep collecting our feedback if there is no action planned to address our concerns?
