      Singapore Office: Horrendous. Harrassed and harangued daily 18 hours a day. Crony-ism is the order of the day.

      Pros

      They pay considerably well with good benefits. Great allowances that include paying for girls and booze in karaoke lounges on top of cell phone and automobile expenses. Anything to bring in the deal right?

      Cons

      Crony-ism - either suck up or get out. The leadership couldn't care any less if you contributed to the larger picture. They're only interested in making money now and then making a run for it. They will see fit to monitor your work cal, and harass you for a minute by minute location update even if you're on leave. They will go as far as to secure deals via dubious methods including unrecorded discounts

      Pros

      One of the largest solutions distribution in the world. Multiple brands, challenging but there's so much to learn as you progress.

      Cons

      Lack of integrity, honesty and professionalism. Avnet is known in the market that I am in for not paying performance or 13mth bonus and commission earned for sales closures to its employees upon resignation even though the employee served the full year and achieved the sales target.

      Pros

      Opportunity to touch latest software products and solutions from software vendor. Work load is not quite heavy. Company supports training and course fee to enhance career skills. Good sales and technical sales relationship.

      Cons

      Not much more career development or promotion chances. Annual salary increment can be ignored.
