Pros

- Easy to get hired without any recruitment experience as they are always on the look out for young talent - Good onboarding training for newbies - International, young colleagues - Good office location - Small company which means very “family” type of environment

Cons

- Very low pay especially if you start as a junior - Very limited extra benefits, main focus is on commission structure - The company hires a lot of interns to save money of salaries but this results in having a lot of people without expertise - No flexibility in terms of home office not even for senior colleagues - The management is very money oriented, as an employee you can feel exploited - Unprofessional management practices, many times they fire people on the spot without any notice. The owner claims this is the Spanish practice to avoid damage to the company but then they preach about being very international - The owner’s main objective is to please the clients without thinking how this might affect the colleagues. Many times the company signs with clients that have unrealistic expectations so you spend hours and days souring for candidates just so they all get rejected. You only receive commissions if the a candidate gets hired. This results in getting demotivated easily - Funky office but in an old fashioned building with no heating and it gets extremely cold during winter, you need to work with gloves and scarf - “Seeing expenses everywhere instead of investment” mentality - Poor equipment, old computers - Rotating system: every couple of months you need to switch places but you can’t take your PC so you need to delete everything and reinstall to new PC - Morning and afternoon shifts as colleagues need to open and close the office - No senior colleagues in the team so not many people to learn from as the majority is very junior - No real progression plan as the company is small and doesn’t grow over 20 colleagues All in all, it’s a good place to start your career in recruitment but no point in staying more than 6 months. If you’re good you can easily get a role in a final company earning the double in salary.

Pros

If you are looking for a job while you are staying in Barcelona just for 6 months or so go for it.

Cons

-Worst leadership I've ever seen in a start-up, the founder doesn't have a clue how to manage people and will treat you as a resource and nothing more. -targets are super high and unobtainable bonuses are part of your salary -people get fired on the spot for no good reason and it's done in a public humiliation way -leadership doesn't care about problems in the processes, they only care about results and money -no flexibility in terms of working from home nor flexible working hours -wages are very very low and contracts are always for a very short time

Hi there, We are very sorry to hear this about your experience at Babel Profiles. As working occupies 1/3 of our day, we always strive to have a "family feeling" at our workplace to make sure everyone feels at ease while doing their job. We value all of our current and former employees' feedback, as it gives us the chance to make things better. That is why from the beginning of 2020, we also introduced a working from home policy and flexible working hours as benefits for our current employees. We would appreciate to learn more about what specifically made your experience here not positive and how we can improve. Please feel free to contact us and we'll discuss anytime: life@babelprofiles.com. Wish you all the best! Babel Profiles

Pros

- the recruiters are friendly and help each other out whenever there is a need. -So easy to get this job especially when you speak multiple languages. - Super nice colleagues, also going a lot out side of work and are good friends -Office is in a good location

Cons

-The situation: - In my time 75% of the recruiters resigned within 3 months just because there were not satisfied with the job and got WAY better opportunities somewhere else. -They always say "it's a recruitment school" but you stop learning after 2 weeks. The management: - Gives promotions to people without a raise in salary. Thanks for more work without more money. - Agrees to take on jobs from companies with big expectations and it's sometimes very hard to fulfill them as they are looking for a unicorn and this is NOT communicated to the clients but rather communicated to the recruiter to hire for this job anyway. It's really always just about the money. - Micromanagement in the worst possible way. - NOT giving us the right tools for doing our job. At a time with 15 recruiters just 3 LinkedIn recruiter accounts which we needed to fight for? How are we supposed to work if the tools are not granted. The answer always is to look for candidates in the ATS. Well, super junior mini ATS which is not working good. Salary and Benefits: - Absolutely under market standard and that's why everybody is leaving after 6 months. Honestly. We got a little raise and a bonus structure ( which was also not well thought out) -Benefits like WFH or 50% paid private insurance and that is also it. Equipment: - super old laptops - a nice backpack ( which we needed to give back after leaving )
