As a designer, you get to be involved in multiple parts of the business and talk to and work with everyone at one point or another. Lots of different projects to work on, and a lot of really cool experiences.
Cons
It's a non-profit arts organization so this is really common - there's always more work to do than hands to do it, and never a big enough budget. You do it for the experience and the joy of it, more than the paycheck.
