I hesitated for a long time about writing a review and didn’t want to use a public forum such as Glassdoor to openly express my opinions of the company because I didn’t want my post to be regarded as the view of a disgruntled employee. However, after reading all the reviews today I realized that my opinion may have mattered to those employees who came to Baseline / Operasoft and were subjected the horrible experiences they encountered and talk about in their reviews. If I had written a review before, maybe I could have prevented some hardships. So hopefully to those future applicants considering this company, I hope my review will help guide you in your decision making process.
All the negative comments posted by my former colleagues you read associated with this company are 100% true. Although the CEO is making a valiant attempt at salvaging his reputation and trying to convince the reader of the contrary through his responses, make no doubt, you will be subjected to psychological harassment on an almost daily basis. I have personally been witness to him screaming and berating employees openly in front of others, at times swearing at them and making them cry.
André – in your replies you speak of values but you, in your position of power and authority, lack the most respect of any human I’ve ever worked for and your behavior is shameful. How do you expect others to live your values when you can’t live them yourself and lead by example?
In addition to lack of respect is sheer lack of basic professionalism. Being a married CEO/CFO couple they frequently bring their marriage issues to work with screaming sessions, door slamming and abruptly walking out of meeting mid session. The toxic environment created by both the CEO and CFO is flabbergasting.
You say you have positive officevibe scores but people don’t tell you the truth for fear of retribution because they know you will fire them at the drop of a hat with complete disregard for their personal situations. You also own up to hiring mistakes and going through a transition period, what this REALLY means is poor strategic planning and foresight on your part to adequately manage a business…. All expectations of a CEO, a crucial skill you don’t possess. Just because you are a visionary doesn't mean you should run a business.
All the positive reviews are smoke screens, "FAKE" posts used to counter balance all the negative. You may deny it, but you know the truth.
What will you find at Baseline? Poor people management, broken promises, mismanagement of company funds, zero mentorship or employee development and zero autonomy.
If you the future candidate are still not convinced after reading all these comments, then I invite you to do your own research by going to LinkedIn and looking at all the former Baseline employees tied to the company and look at how long they stayed in their role. You will certainly see a pattern and will be able to calculate the high turnover for yourself. If you are still not convinced reach out to any former employee via LinkedIn and ask us to detail our experience with you. We will be happy to oblige.
