Pros

Travel Opportunities, independence, Control of work load. Flexible based on lifestyle changes. Work environment is very casual, when not traveling very flexible schedule and can work late in morning and get done early, self paced environment where you learn as you go, during down time able to work at a slower pace. Need to be self motivated to perform well here.

Cons

poor communication, cliche, no performance reviews, lack of openness, employees left in clouds on companies future. No direction on how to learn new material, tend to be focused on the amount of time traveling and management can become very concerned if you do not get high reviews from customers. However, they do not teach you have to improve leave this up to your own accord.

Pros

- Management recognized a working remote environment was one that benefits both the company and the employee. - Benefits started out to be nice, but in later years were reigned in to become nothing out of the ordinary that would be found at anywhere else. - Performance driven, rather than micro-managed. - Product had some really good ideas during its early phases. Unfortunately, it seems to have taken a turn.

Cons

- Passive/Aggressive management feedback. Will say one thing, but do something entirely different. - Leadership seems incapable of long term vision, and following a roadmap. - Extremely top-heavy organization. Too many leader/management positions. - Single customer given far too much input into the direction of the product. I had to chuckle at the top 3 reviews, as they were cookie-cutter, glowing 5 star reviews, posted within two weeks of a series of layoffs and the negative reviews that probably triggered them. It wouldn't be a surprise if these were all done by the same person, or as a coordinated effort to counter-act the negative reviews.

Pros

Great benefits, get to work from home, good salary, great product, everybody is willing to help out if there is an issue. Collaborating with Product Management, engineering and sales is easy which in return has a fast case resolution . Teck talks every month to learn from the big dogs.

Cons

Unfortunately, my entire team was laid off due to restructuring of the company. Getting laid off sucks but it happens, that is not the problem. The problem is that there was literally no notice or heads up. The lay offs were not due to performance so for the love of Christ give people a heads up so they start planning and looking for other jobs. Being unemployed with a family is tough so be kind enough to tell people that the company could be downsizing. That was an awful thing to do by the company's management. I worked as hard as I could, I showed nothing but good results and then getting laid off without notice was really a slap on the face.
