Pros

Most of the line therapists are amazing with the kids, and devote every minute of their day to teaching them.

Cons

I worked there 3 years, and the last kid I worked with was veryaggressive. Biting, hair pulling, punching, etc. I gave my job a 1 month notice that I would be moving states, and gave them my last day to mark on the calender. One day my student grabbed me by the hair, and pulled out a large chunk of it. I worked with my lead to implement a safety plan that was working, and for two weeks the child had not hurt anyone at school. I worked one on one with this student for 2 weeks after that last aggression, and the CEO suddenly decided the student was "too aggressive", and told the parent THAT DAY that the student could not come back to BIG. No warning, the parent now had to figure out who would be watching their kid while the parents work, and find a new school for kids with autism. I still had 2 weeks left before I was leaving the company, and I let the CEO know that I'd be willing to work with my student for those 2 weeks so the parent could make arrangements for her childcare. The CEO told me no, and said I could go home, that I was no longer needed. I insisted that I needed these last 2 weeks of pay in order to move. The CEO begrudgingly let me work my last two weeks after I had to schedule a meeting to argue my case. Not only was the CEO inconsiderate to the parent of my student, but they were inconsiderate to their own workers. This incident is one of dozens that my fellow coworkers suffered from. All the CEO thinks about is themselves, and how they can grow the business. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Pros

I have never worked at an ABA clinic that has so much support for each other as a staff. Everyone is there to help each other and show up for the kids. The staff are constantly challenged to continue learning to share with each other and improve. I have been challenged to be a better employee by the way my coworkers show up to work each day!

Cons

It can be a stressful job at times, it is very fast paced and you have to be willing to accept feedback and criticism to grow.

Pros

The majority of the therapists that work there are great. Benefits are okay until they decide to take them from you without any notice.

Cons

Management is TOXIC. They act like they are in Jr. High, show major favoritism and create palatable and visible tension and division within every part of the company. If you aren’t a “yes man” with a strong desire to lose your sense of decency you will be terminated without reason. After a parent said something about some concerns to me, then I overheard a conversation regarding billing from the Directors and researching a bit more it’s come to my attention that there is more skeletons in the company’s closet then they are prepared to admit. It would be a good idea for parents to fight to see the videos when kids come home with injuries because they don’t always get the whole truth. If you want to work for a company with no moral compass, changes the policies and handbook they on a case by case basis as it suits them and has a serious issues with discrimination this is your place. Make sure that you have a huge stockpile of tissues to clean your nose off and fit into the “ideal look” then I would avoid this place like a plague. Some of their key staff also have issues from their lives (both previous and currently) that they choose to hide in that closet with their skeletons. They pick and choose who they are going to drug test depending on how much they like you and sometimes if they think you will/won’t pass...
