Pros

Pay is decent but very stagnant. Have to shoot way above what should be required to move anywhere in the company. Decent for folk early in their career but has become quite a churn and burn with very few people sticking around for longer than 2-3 years. The people and direct management are currently good. There used to be many more but benefits have dwindled down over the years and most that would keep people around for a longer period of time are completely gone following a merger.

Cons

Below average benefits. Promotions come from fear of people leaving and not when you deserve it. NOC is fully in person despite the rest of the company having a flexible 2 day home 3 day in office hybrid schedule whilst the ongoing reason is collaboration despite us being split between 4 offices in different states so 99% of work is done over teams anyways. Executive team starting at SVP and up unable or unwilling to make any moves to benefit the department or just are oblivious and aren't listening. This circles into getting your voice heard borders impossible. The NOC is constantly treated as a lower level department despite being the beating heart of the entire product the company sells. Critical tools to make the job easier and faster to get support tickets resolved continue to be put on the sidelines or removed from our hands while our plate size grows and grows and grows. We are currently supporting two diverse networks with minimal training and consistent enough exposure to fully understand the other side.

Pros

Used to be a lot, no longer. *Most good things and culture have been stripped from this workplace, quickly. Got rid of horrid network purchased in PA.(This decision cost us the CEO of Everstream in 2023, who was employee focused). Decent PTO.

Cons

Removed remote work, but for only the NOC. Mediocre benefits, Management from recent acquisition forced out ALL of NOC Mgmt from Everstream, as they would not listen to a single suggestion. Pay stagnant, overtime no longer allowed and looking to hire more people to fill holes. People leaving at an accelerated rate, has brought more issues. This is due to changes and pay being stagnant while responsibilities essentially doubled with acquisition. Training at this current moment has to be a nightmare, as we are loosely between multiple systems and seem to be still deciding how to move forward. Zero conversation on compensation/opportunities for advancement with personal careers, alongside zero structure for internal advancement with the new company.

Pros

Cool people at the work place Nice office

Cons

Top Heavy. Higher ups do not listen to employees. Compensation is not fair for scope of work. Only department forced to be in person full time despite job being capable of being 100% remote if needed. C-suite will not listen or care about complaints. Overall the NOC is treated poorly and doesn’t appear to be respected.
