Pros

Colleagues feel like friends, the work is meaningful and ambitious, but does not result in overtime. The company aims for longevity and cares to develop and grow employees who learn the proprietary Enfusion engine. If you are a self-starter who is willing to grow, you'll have opportunities to do so.

Cons

If you want to work from home, you have to be a contractor, which is not an option for everyone.

Unfireable Deadweight, Retaliatory Layoffs, Endless Mismanaged Money Pit

Pros

Ideal for those wanting zero responsibility and steady pay without growth. If you sit quiet you can stay at the company basically forever. Bonus schemes can almost make your salary competitive for Czech Republic. Easy to bond with colleagues over shared trauma. The owners are billionaires, making their money elsewhere at this point, meaning the company is a passion project and is unlikely to go under. Decidedly NOT woke (if you care about that either way)

Cons

C-level micromanagement. CEO tried exiting the company a few times but chose his replacement poorly; now completely out of touch with reality but too paranoid to delegate. CEO overrules unanimous decisions (often based on ChatGPT advice). No trust in middle management—creates paranoia, frustration, and flip-flopping visions. CFO skimps on salaries across the board. Rather than pay one competitive senior salary, would hire two juniors—even if they cost more in total. Seniors basically do not exist, as the company doesn't pay senior salaries. It doesn't matter how much money you make for the company; you will still be gaslit when asking to be rewarded. Employee benefits are a joke. Ridiculous bureaucracy and approval processes. Some illegal practices (e.g. pushing employees to switch to contract basis to save on taxes). Often absolutely bizarre financial decisions. Millions wasted on endless zombie projects without audits or closure. Insistence on developing own engine with a team of ~10 people causes innumerable issues. Company policy to NEVER pay severance allows incompetent deadweight to stay forever, regardless of damage caused. The few layoffs that do happen are done via coercion, threats, bullying. Extremely high employee turnover due to revolving door policy. Deadlines are constantly missed; due dates aren't even a suggestion. No responsibility for mistakes; no corrective measures are applied. Ever. If you spot mistakes or errors and fix them, others will character assassinate you rather than appreciate you saving their behinds. If you have any drive or passion and try to be an agent of change, deadweight will lie to HR and get you fired via a struggle session with disgusting and illegal threats. The most toxic HR department: doesn't do much but will onboard any scheme to cause trouble for an individual. HR will note even gossip about your free time activities and, if it suits them, use it in argumentation against your interests. Do. Not. Talk. To. HR. Ever. Even off the clock. Rampant culture of “simping” toward female employees, which can cross from cringe into sexual harassment. Some individuals exploit this dynamic however by using their “simps” to harass or target perceived enemies. Prague office is legitimately horrible in every way you can think of. Company image in Czech Republic is abysmal; real talent knows to avoid.
