- awful compensation – I worked in CX with the lowest pay rate but I knew so many others in various lanes who were drastically underpaid for their workload
- awful upper level management that routinely makes abysmal decisions with next to zero accountability for their errors
- awful, extremely emotionally manipulative, gaslighting management (current [as of Jan 2022] head of manager of CX, assistant manager of CX, and VP of omnichannel support especially)
- head manager of CX delusionally believes they operate democratically but all they do is ignore everyone else's advice while gaslighting them into thinking they value coworkers’ opinions. Expresses next to zero accountability when proven wrong and instead perpetually frames themselves as a victim, putting emotional labor onto a team that makes peanuts
- emotionally manipulative workplace environment where we are described as a "family" so they can bend you to their will
- they claim to be an open and safe space where you can speak your mind about the company, but all it does is put a target on your back so they can push you out and retain their toxic culture that they refuse to acknowledge or reckon with appropriately
- Bonobos tricks you into doing a million more job responsibilities without adequate compensation and you end up justifying it to yourself because you have good coworkers and you don’t want to let them down
- they underpay the CX team and then give away dumb little prizes in a stupid attempt to convince you that a free lunch is better than adequate compensation
some other crummy stuff:
- during a round of layoffs an affected team member (who was made to work for like three hours before they were told they were laid off) asked why they couldn’t log into their accounts in a public slack channel and their manager (current assistant manager of CX) told them to file an IT ticket which is DISGUSTING
- I know two former colleagues who were upstanding workers with exemplary track records who were put on absolutely nonsensical, unjust, comically false “ethics reviews” and “probations”. One person had expressed a valid critique of the company (we had just experienced a round of layoffs and were told we could safely express ourselves about what happened: WRONG) and the other person expressed distrust and disappointment with shoddy upper management and advocated for higher pay for the severely underpaid and overworked CX team (again, this person was told they had a safe space to express their concerns: WRONG). These “disciplinary methods” were clearly done in an attempt to gaslight, intimidate, and silence these team members – absolutely repulsive behavior.
Don’t work here!!!
