Pros

The best part about the company is the brand itself and the discount. When I think of Bootbarn I think of that true American brand. The company had potential to be that but lacks the clarity on how to get there. For me it was hard to watch a company that could be something so great is settling for mediocre because it's easier.

Cons

Senior leadership is a boys club that that's jumped from company to company together so they know each other well. That being said, if your not in the click it's tough to get your voice heard. The company doesn't have a clear vision on where they want to go but they also don't know how to drive the business foreword. I worked at the corporate office and customer service wasn't a priority. They were so disrespectful to the field teams at times it was hard to watch. There is little communication across the organization for company initiatives. Each department does their own thing in their silo and there is little department partnership.

Pros

Customers were by far the best in anyone could ask for in retail. The product is good however, they have gotten away from real western wear and more in to glamour. Real cowboys and girls need real western wear. It is the daily uniform for them and BB has pretty much taken that out of the stores. Hours weren't bad except Christmas time! (its brutal) PTO is awesome Discount is good except you have to wear the boots and clothing they sell so it could be a lot better. BB help your staff dress the part! Benefits were standard for a retail company

Cons

Their is no communication from upper management No one is home in HR, ever! People skills for DM's and RM's (this isn't high school its not who is most popular wins! these are real people jobs and lives your playing with) It’s never any fun to go to work for someone who is completely making you unhappy no matter how hard your team works its never enough! Or a DM that is so moody you never know what hammer is going to come down and who it will fall on! So if you want a job with BB I hope you have a high tolerance for drama because it is there and what I hear it has not gotten any better.

Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed working with customers from across the country and around the world. The merchandise selection was good and the employee discount was fair.

Cons

The corporate mentality was GREED at the expense of Customer Service. These people cared nothing about the western lifestyle, traditions of the western apparel industry, or the customers right to privacy. Employees were treated like 3rd Class citizens and the turnover rate is through the roof.
