      Quite possibly the worst management team on the ASX20.

      Pros

      Is in 60 different countries, offers an essential service so the revenue is recurring regardless of the environmental circumstances (hence why management doesnt need to do much to run the company), has a poor/non-existent HR department so you cant get fired if youre a lazy employee, even better - if you have really good employees in your team, they will eventually leave as opposed to taking your role i.e. theres no risk of people doing anything about the fact your employees are likely better than you.

      Cons

      Nobody gets promoted, doesnt matter how good a job you do. Whatever position you apply for and get, is the position youll stay in unless you move laterally or someone moves on, dies or retires. Even then, theyll likely hire someone external who doesnt know as much as you and youll be stuck doing their job as well as yours so they dont look bad. In the unlikely event they promote within - they wont call it a promotion, theyll call it "higher duties" and will fill it with people who are a generally not fit for the role. Will hope no one complains much about them or the team they are leading, then when there are complaints - they will pressure those people making the complaints to leave the company.

      Pros

      + a good business model + a growing industry, particularly in the emerging markets + focused on both top line & bottom line growth + has finally created a focused strategy

      Cons

      - poor management of its capital investments - poor accountability structures - a personality-based work culture: only those who know the right people get the opportunities - struggling to manage its talent, particularly in creating opportunities for people
