Pros

If you can bill 60 hours a week, you can write your own ticket.

Cons

Be prepared to bring your own client base to keep you busy. Yearly "change in directions" which results in firings, and you are only as good as your current month.

Pros

401k sharing is competitive, and the location is nice in downtown Bethesda. They do have a metro subsidy they offer to employees.

Cons

little to no training, frustratingly very low morale among employees, little to no growth potential, dwindling client base, and several people complained that once they on-boarded it "was not at all what they signed up for". healthcare benefits are not competitive with other firms in the industry. promises made by management get pushed out and/or never fulfilled

Pros

BroadPoint is a good place to work. The company is growing regularly year over year. There is enough work to stay consistently busy but, apart from some spikes, doesn't drive Staff to burn out. BroadPoint is a Microsoft Partner and so the capabilities and technologies required for the job are interesting and relevant. And this makes it a solid place to gain and grow skills that are competitive in the job market. The customers are good to work with as a rule and genuinely appreciative of the hard work that we do to support them which is very important to me. Couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with on a day to day basis -- friendly, committed, highly skilled and able to work well as a team. The management team is supportive and exercises good leadership. Like most companies at a growth stage, the managers are focused on getting the best people on board and to make clients happy with the services delivered. Based on the staff and sales, I'd say they are doing a good job.

Cons

Typical of a consulting company, the challenge is to stay organized while growing. Bit of a trade off there but at least everyone is honest about it and everyone works hard to improve.
