Terrible Place To Work

Pros

The work can be very diverse and you can get great experience.

Cons

The people can be a nightmare. Some are very pleasant and personable but there are a lot of partners who are just outright rude and disrespectful. There are associates who do not even want to interact with certain partners that they do not even report to because of how disrespectful those partners can be. HR does nothing about the behavior of you talk to them. Everyone in the firm talks about one specific partner openly and how rude that partner is and nothing is done about it.

New Leadership Has Created a Toxic Culture. Mass Departures Say It All

Pros

The offices are nice, that's about it.

Cons

The new firm leadership has systematically destroyed what was once a positive work environment. They have cultivated a toxic, divisive culture characterized by favoritism, backstabbing, and cliquish behavior. This isn’t limited to business professionals—attorneys are equally affected, as evidenced by the wave of mass departures. When employees with 10+ years of tenure are leaving and speaking openly about how unbearable conditions have become, that speaks volumes. Management appears to employ deliberate tactics to force people out rather than addressing them directly, making the workplace increasingly hostile. There's no room for growth and I strongly advise prospective employees to look elsewhere.

Diversity Issue

Pros

lots of free food and alcohol if you meet your hours, you'll get a good bonus

Cons

been working here for a couple of years now and have seen so many talented diverse candidates leave because of senior partners and management acts. I have sat in meetings where newly hired partners have made microaggressive comments, laughed about sexual harassment, etc. the firm does nothing about it but continues to hire these individuals for profit purposes. If you are young and diverse, run. recently they transitioned out a bunch of problematic practice group leaders but these people still work here and you still report to them. the firm does not care about diversity and especially does not care about staff. many firm-wide meetings have had management make comments that assume everybody makes high six figures like them. such a shame because the depp trial really made a bunch of talent eager to work here, but as an attorney who has been here for years, it just isn't worth it. I also have heard staff don't get bonuses which a lot of competing firms do give out so that is something they should look into if they want to make the staff feel as valued as the attorneys. we lost a lot of people this year and so many of our diverse talent. some practice groups are entirely white and male-dominated. definitely not at the forefront of de&I like they claim to be. I think they think a lot of us aren't aware of the issues, but we feel it.
