A Toxic, Micromanaged Work Environment – Stay Away
Pros
The office has a structured schedule, ensuring predictable work hours. Some employees are dedicated and hardworking despite the poor leadership.
Cons
Management enforces rigid and unnecessary policies, requiring employees to be in the office for at least 9 hours a day, even if they arrive early and work extra hours. Leaving before 3 PM is not allowed, no matter how much work is completed. Employee activities are heavily monitored through tracking software, including keystrokes and screen activity. A remote employee was allowed to watch the news, work on their child’s college applications, and check cross-country rankings, all while others were micromanaged. The top person in charge made an unprofessional comment about needing extra time at work to "go poopie." Employees operate under a constant fear of retaliation, making it difficult to speak up or challenge poor leadership decisions.
