Company executives have no strategy

Pros

Good stepping stone into cybersecurity product space

Cons

- zero bonuses for staff, sales not hitting numbers due to unrealistic sales target and lack of support/help - executives have no idea how to encourage/motivate/strategize with team - product team is out of touch with market, unable to respond to competition in a meaningful manner beyond a datasheet putting them down, always having to respond reactively to the competition's product releases - staff leaving in droves due to lack of help/support, positions not backfilled and existing staff do not want to risk recommending friends - poor health insurance coverage - made acquisition that made zero sense, from a strategic or product demand perspective, resulting in almost zero sales, ridiculed internally, as well as by market players - bunch of key staff in the inner circle have been allowed to travel the world on the company's expense providing minimal value, while the rest are getting critical expenses cut/restricted - losing market share, unable to invest in headcount, let alone backfill staff who have left, leaving the rest overworked and frustrated, slippery slope

Pros

Hey bro like how bro can you be bro?

Cons

Just walk inside and feel the bro. Bunch of wanna-be salesman acting like 2nd graders. What a joke.

Pros

It's a very unique space. The company provides an important service, has a great value proposition and a very talented crowd of security researchers who help make Bugcrowd relevant. There are a handful of teams that work tirelessly to make customers happy. The customers seem happy for the most part. There are many people within the company who are easy to get along with. Nice office in SF. Catered meals every now and again. Unlimited vacation.

Cons

Despite all the good things this company has going for it, it falls short in many ways. It can be very disappointing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. If the company succeeds-- and there's a good chance it doesn't-- it would be succeeding in spite of itself; sometimes Bugcrowd seems to willingly shoot itself in the foot. I'm not convinced the current model / leadership team is built for long term success. There is a struggle to bring on new customers in a timely fashion. As a whole the company does not seem interested in taking care of their best people, although they might say they do. They may even be well-intentioned. Pay is substandard by a good margin. My experience has been that this company will gladly take advantage of their people if you allow them to.
