Pros

Fun personalities in the office, good variety of clients and projects

Cons

Boys club mentality and office politics. Sexual harassment issues that were systemically ignored for years. Overall shady management. Restriction of growth for designers: I had less responsibilities and ownership over work when I came here which is one of the main reasons I left. They only really allow people that have a legacy w the company to be involved directly with clients or trusted with more ownership or projects.

Pros

If you can't find something better, maybe working here would be OK but watch your back.

Cons

in this Good Old Boys Club Mad Men mentality is alive and prospering. Management uses intimidation, secrecy and favoritism to "inspire" hard work and the reward might be a short walk to the door accompanied by security. If you have respect for the industry and for yourself, avoid CBX at all costs.

Pros

Client roster is varied and interesting. Management practices ethnic diversity with regard to hiring. The partners have very high standards for creative output, design and client service. Studio decor is flashy and edgy. CBX hosts lavish parties for it's employees.

Cons

There is little regard for work/life balance. The partners' primary concern is making as much money as possible, therefore staffers put in extraordinarily long hours for long stretches with little or no compensation. There is a strong youth culture which is not necessarily a con but the irreverence it fosters makes day-to-day interactions a chore. There is little effort to reign-in unprofessional behavior and in some ways it's encouraged. The layout of workstations is awkward–one often has to walk the length of a block to have a face-to-face conversation.
