Pros

The benefits working for CCGroup are out of this world and some of the industry best including: late/early passes, flexible working being some of them. It is clear they care about creating a company culture they're proud of. I met some amazing people here who I still keep in touch with now.

Cons

In truth, working here has shattered my confidence as a person and almost convinced me to leave the PR industry entirely. I didn’t feel supported by my mentor or many of my peers and I often had extremely unrealistic standards to meet. I was given objectives to work on with no real support/help to achieve them. There was an insane amount of importance placed on internal documents like WIPs/trackers and if you missed one update, whether it’s a task you directly worked on or not, you were automatically deemed a ‘bad worker’. At CCGroup, it is genuinely about being the ‘loudest’ person in the room. If you’re not loud and constantly bombarding team channels, emails with your name everywhere, then you’re not proactive enough - a nightmare for anyone who’s introverted or shy. No matter how much work you produce, it's not enough and not good enough. I was told that I'm not doing enough despite doing overtime because of my allocated hours and on paper 'I'm not busy', but everyone does more than just their allocated hours in PR. During my time here, one of my parents was going through serious health implications with their heart and I was underdoing the process of getting diagnosed with ADHD - very little support was given. There was absolutely no understanding or help from anyone and instead, I was just constantly, consistently told that my work is terrible. I was told, to my face, that ‘I have produced the worst work in the company’s history’ and that was because I hadn’t updated the WIP/tracker completely. For a company that loves to shout out about ADHD and mental health, I only felt alienated when I started to have problems and needed a helping hand.

Pros

I joined CCgroup as a graduate looking for my first position in PR. For graduates in a similar position, I couldn't recommend the agency more. At CCgroup you'll be working with interesting clients, given plenty of opportunities to grow and, most importantly, working with a genuinely lovely and hardworking group of people. The individuals working at CCgroup are all experts in the tech space who constantly execute PR best practices. The amount I've learnt from working with them could fill two books! As an agency, CCgroup has a results driven mindset that I have personally always found really infectious. Time is always put aside to recognise success and there's an all hands on deck approach to new business that makes every client win feel like a victory for the entire agency, rather than just individual teams. I wasn't overly familiar with B2B tech when I joined CCgroup but I've grown to love the space. It's such an interesting and rewarding type of PR that will always leave you feeling satisfied as you leave the office at the end of the day. In short; I couldn't recommend working at CCgroup more.

Cons

There aren't any cons that come to mind as such. If I was to give some constructive advice to the agency it would just be to always think progressively. PR practices and service offerings are constantly changing, CCgroup should continue to keep up to date with current trends and regularly revisit how the PR programmes it delivers. Doing so will ensure CCgroup remains a modern, competitive agency!
