Big agency feel, outside of Boston

Pros

CGPR is a wonderful agency located outside of Boston. I stumbled across the position and was thrilled about the idea of no longer having to trek into Boston. Scenic Marblehead is also amazing and nothing beats working here in the summer months. CGPR has the most amazing list of clients ranging from iconic outdoor brands to well-known lifestyle apparel and gear companies. Consumer PR at CGPR is a lot of fun and we are always working new and excited brands. It also helps that upper management has been in the industry for 30+ years. We have been working with many clients for 6+ years, much longer than the industry average. We treat clients like family and in return our relationships are built to last. Work/life balance is something that is extremely important to me and that is definitely something that is valued at CGPR as well. We definitely work hard but equally play hard! Lastly, despite being a small agency, CGPR offers room for growth and you receive support to do so. Webinars, workshops and other initiatives are encouraged and the open-door policy is clear the second you walk into the office.

Cons

There are no true downsides of CGPR. We work with amazing clients that create products/apparel that we truly love. If you are looking for a small family-like agency this is the place for you.

Pros

CGPR is small and nimble, making it a great agency to really learn and understand the foundation of PR and develop a skill set that takes longer to develop at other agencies. Given the size of the agency, opportunities for higher level experiences present themselves more.

Cons

Given that the agency was small, it was really hard to establish a satisfactory work/life balance. It was difficult to take PTO without being contacted by staff and very strict guidelines for using sick time, etc.
