I have been working at CIBC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you put in the effort you can move up. Moved from teller to advisor, all certifications paid for by company, within a few years. Great coworkers (location based I'd imagine). Great ceo, feels like the company cares about employees and clients. There's pressure to meet targets, as with any bank, but it's not over the top.

    Cons

Salary isn't competitive with some of the other banks. You need to focus on promotions rather than competitive pay. Last couple managers have been absolutely terrible at the job, needed help from their employees to figure out systems and regulations. Hoping this is resolved soon.
