CIHR is an important organization, leverages partnership funding to increase pool of funding to researchers across Canada

Cons

Inside the organization, there isn't a lot of direction or transparency for staff. A lot of portfolios work in silo and the Institutes sit on the outside and aren't always let "in" to CIHR corporate.
