Pros

The French work culture is very fair and is cautious of contacting employees outside of working hours. Management is very clear in communicating expected outcomes and flexible in allowing you the time space and resources to achieve them. For example I was allowed to work from home while recovering. There are frequent office celebrations and people are courteous and kind. Flexi benefits are generous ($2000 a year) with decent medical coverage.

Cons

Number of leave days could be higher. Do be careful of lead researcher politics - either don't get involved or leave before you are implicated.
