Pros

Literally zero and I tried hard to find one positive about the place.

Cons

-Managers are condescending -Employees are kind of weird. They go off into private rooms and yell at each other and then come out laughing as if they weren't arguing. -Extreme micro managers- they literally tell you what to say word for word on the phone even though you sound like a robot to the person on the other end. -They say one thing one day and another a next. -I took a total of two days off within my first three weeks due to a death in my family. My manager took me into the room and said I have literally been out of the office more days than I have been in the office. I thought this was an obvious exaggeration but no he literally thought that I had been absent more than I had attended. I'm not the best at math but I'm pretty sure two days out of 15 doesn't make that possible. -They had no idea how many pitches I made. They constantly accused me of having far less pitches than I did. Which I had to correct them on several times. Bottom line is they have no idea whats going on.

Pros

If you are experienced at inside ad sales you can make money here. You need to cold call and develop your own leads and accounts. Top consumer custom magazine publisher for major well respected National organizations.

Cons

CW Publishing Group is very autocratic and highly structured for a sales company. It is difficult for you to carve out your own niche and you need to fight for good accounts and leads. Management seems to reward bad behavior, as long you can sell. It is a very negative environment with inconsistent support from and training from management.

Pros

opportunity to learn to sell, negotiate and close outstanding. salary, commission and benefits. OTE in first year as junior sales executive circa $50-60k. rebuilding after management buy out, so great opportunity for new staff. excellent projects to work on which gives the ability to work with major national advertisers.

Cons

very structured and disciplined, some might say micro managed, however, to succeed you need to have structure and discipline. rebuilding after management buy out, so thin on the ground with existing staff.
