Pros
It used to be a place I was proud to work at. It was a start-up and had most of these start-up perks and mentality. We had a boom in business and morale in the late 2010s and early 2020s, but that bubble has bursted and is long gone. I'm going to list many cons, the pros were the friendly people and flexible in-office days.
Cons
Morale has been low for several years, while we watched our perks and culture dial back. We had our first ever major layoff in Nov 2023, and they are now a yearly occurrence, with no real nor clear communication of anyone's job security. No more holiday parties, regular happy hours, and factually, we can work from any office (Australia, US, UK), but it's up to your manager. Compensation for hotel, airfare, and others are not always included. Our salaries used to be competitive and adjusted for inflation yearly, but that's no longer a guarantee. The DEI taskforce has been disbanded. This new upper leadership did expressed a commitment to diversity, but the taskforce is not coming back anytime soon, and leadership turns a blind eye to DEI and overall employee morale in many ways. "We succeed and fail as a team" is no longer something the company cares for Making matters worse, no 401K matching.
