Pros
- Super casual dress code - 15% discount is nice although isn’t great - Some regulars are absolute gems - Job is easy, staff and customers not so much - Learn a lot about games and tv shows you’ve never had any interest in - Develop thick skin - Main manager is lovely
Cons
- Team Leader speaks to young women like they are scum - Toxic work environment, people in their late 20’s making rumours up because they’re bored and causing unnecessary drama - No repercussions for calling out, so constantly understaffed. There is almost no existence of a sick policy - Energy drinking people who don’t even attempt to have a good day - No appreciation for the staff who show up and actually want to do work - Some staff are incredibly rude to customers and there are no repercussions - Grading is a sham as team leaders will allow certain things to slip by if it will look good for sales. Unfortunately when a team leader allows a clearly discounted item to be graded as boxed, it’s not them who get it in the neck from customers - Team Leaders being afraid of being asked to come and de-escalate a situation with an angry customer - Staff allowed to swear, shout, yell and be idiots the whole shift whilst one person is struggling on tills - Management ignore very obvious theft from staff - Can’t offer full time hours… 30 being the maximum is pathetic - Deal with more angry and frustrated customers than nice ones - A very ‘ummmm actually’ place to work
