Pros
- Free luxury training dinner, you get to go to all the fancy restaurant, almost once per month. - Employee discount, but the owner will prohibit you to order directly from Vendor because vendor offer even more discount to employee. - Learn all the heritage and knowledge from high jewelers and watch makers. - You will be able to learn aggressive negotiation skill. - Exposed to all the top tier brands' marketing department and their know-how about branding and marketing. - Get to "hands-on" high value jewelries and timepieces. - You will receive a Christmas gift and red envelopes for lunar new year. - Majority of the tasks are true marketing, no need to worry about selling jewelries or watches. - Minimum overtime, and it's pretty flexible if you have to run some errands or have a doctor visit as long as all the tasks are taking care of.
Cons
- Micro-management - Drama happens all the time including physical fighting - Managements are demanding and emotional - Family business, there is certainly a glass ceiling if your are not the family, limited room for growing. - You get to assigned to run family errands or do some tasks that's not related to the marketing or sales. - Pay is low compare to responsibilities and market rate , and will never give you a raise. - "Because I said so" is the rule. - Management change their mind a lot and make it difficult to push campaign or project moving forward. - You will never get recognition for accomplishment or perform above and beyond but will get yelled (a lot) at if you massed up. - HR is owner
