Pros

The idea is futuristic and you have the impression you are working on cutting age tech.

Cons

The management is clueless. They fired the vast majority of the eng department in one day, after 2 years of hirings spree. Allegedly to "go back to startup mode". The tech is really not that special after you look into it.

Pros

While I was there my coworkers were really nice, until they fired most of the engineering department, and a lot from other departments. While I was there it seemed like a good company and that they were doing really well.

Cons

Got hired with a high salary, even more than what I asked for during the interview process. Also the benefits they offered were insane, someone would say too good to be true. Well, that’s what happened. After being in the company for a bit over 4 months, they got most of my department fired. All the same day. The process was cruel and lacked all kinds of humanity. They put us through a 15 min call where the HR lady read a paper to us and as soon as the call was over they logged us out from the system and our computers were locked. With no time to get any personal files, like pay slips, or being able to say goodbye to people. But that was not all, for days there was radio silence, they didn’t contact us nor pay us anything. After a week or so a law firm contacted us to offer severance pay, apparently they fired us saying that the company was not doing well but they hired one of the most expensive law firms to screw us over. Why? I don’t know, I know people that did work for that company for 2 years and did an incredible job, even working extra hours to meet deadlines……. Even people on parental leave were also fired, same procedure, 15 min call and that’s it, you are out….. I guess it was all fake, company is selling smoke and I guess they wasted all the money they got from investors. Instead of administering well the resources and the growth they just when on a crazy spending spree hiring a lot of people last year and forgetting to get good contracts with potential clients….. But that I found out too late, I wish I would have known when I was interviewing with them cause I had other offers at hand and dropped them cause they really sell it well to me…….. I feel also stupid for being there as an engineer, building a monstrous system with a bunch of engineers involved, but just a few products and clients in production…. I should have known better.
