Pros

I gained quite a bit of "life experience" and what was really important to me and my family when searching and selecting a position/company. Without this poor experience, I would not be were I am today, and for that I am grateful.

Cons

•Employee Turnover: This was an immediate red flag upon starting my position at Clear Design. Employees would mysteriously disappear and never show up again with zero explanation from management. I estimate I would recognize probably 3 employees plus management now. They churn through employees once they either: a) “are no longer considered a fit”, or b) express dissatisfaction with working/employment conditions. My assumption is that once employees start realizing the environment they’re in, B happens, followed by termination with A as an excuse. This is anecdotal, so take my word as a grain of salt. •Pay/Benefits: Salary is WAY below average for San Antonio. No bonuses. 8 days PTO. When asked why the PTO was so subpar, I was told it was standard. Hopefully this has been remedied. •No HR: There is no HR department. Not even one qualified person to act as an HR representative on site. Again, I hope this has been remedied. •Unsafe Working Conditions: The warehouse is one big OSHA violation. Former warehouse personnel have submitted many complaints that have gone unanswered. I sure I wouldn’t recognize any warehouse employees now, but I hope for their sake that preventative maintenance and repairs have been taken seriously. Gambling with employees’ lives is unacceptable for any size organization. •Work/Life Balance: You will be bringing your work with you when you go home and be expected to work above and beyond the standard 40-hour workweek. If you do not abide, you will be outcast by management as not supporting the team and terminated. Now, I subscribe to the “above and beyond call of duty” mentality, but sometimes employees need a breather.

Very Unprofessional Company

Pros

The company is very laid back and tries to pride itself on the basis of teamwork.

Cons

Each of the managers are very young and don’t know how to properly manage the company. They jump on their employees for making mistakes and I watched multiple people get fired without any warnings. There’s no transparency and you quickly realize that the environment is very toxic, and there’s a lot that goes on which upper management doesn’t understand.
