Pros

Fun co-workers Free lunch every Friday, happy hour every other week Company is growing, more investors are coming onboard Growth opportunities if you sacrifice enough of your personal life for the company

Cons

Overworked employees, lack of free time . It is not uncommon to see people work 12 hour days here, and often work through the weekends. This isn't limited to engineering either. My department is called to help with tasks throughout the evening and into weekends. If you join us, don't believe them if they tell you that you will have a 8 hour workday because that isn't the case for most employees.

Pros

This is probably the best company culture I have seen. People are genuinely nice and it's not fake at all. They are solving interesting technical problems. And complex stuff too - the world of cloud billing and compliance is a complicated beast with many layers. You generally have creative freedom to work on the stuff you'd like, when and where you'd like. Relaxed dress code, Wednesday breakfast club, free lunch Fridays, dogs at work. Everyone in Rochester loves Floyd and you will too.

Cons

It seems like the 2017 plan was to grow fast with nothing beyond that planned out. The startup environment means that there is a lot of uncertainty. Directions change quickly, or aren't implemented at all (yearly planning in late January of the year you're planning for)? This results in a lot of turnover. The technical debt is massive. It's getting better, but is still the number one limiting factor. Some important things are done on the cheap. Developers should have better laptops, for example More managers get hired while they continue to bleed technical talent.
