Great Potential Wasted by Bad Management

Pros

Great product with real potential to make a difference within the higher education sector. Good working environment, great sense of team (most of the time) and work / life balance.

Cons

Nobody outside the senior team is listened to, high staff turnover across the company means it is hard to move forward. Once you are out of favour you are out of the company

Pros

CogBooks is the best place to start your career. CTO is especially helpful and understands the needs of an employee. You are welcome to bring your own work-style as long as you are up to date with your work and are meeting deadlines. Management is open to your suggestions and takes them seriously.

Cons

Location might be a problem for some people. However, one gets used to it after a while.
