Pros
Good people who don't realize how many great companies are just down the street.
Cons
Don’t do it; if you take any Glassdoor posting seriously, it should be this one. I wasn't even going to post one because I personally have moved on to better things until I heard that this company is actually very aware of its negative postings so recently have been encouraging its employees to give fake positive reviews. If you don't believe me look at the dates for all the recent positive reviews. This dishonesty shows exactly the type of management and environment you would be walking into. The emotional unintelligence is overwhelming; this company exhibits bad behavior and a corrupt set of morals. The environment is toxic, discouraging and depressing with no career growth, daily harassment and immature management. Any self confidence you have will be surely destroyed over time. If you work here then you better get a prescription for zanax or stock up on wine. If you really like wine then by all means apply. The company rewards bad behavior and exhibits sexism and discrimination rather than rewarding hard workers. It’s almost a disaster waiting to happen with these boundaries being crossed and the labor laws being broken. Their excuse is because they are Swiss owned, but there's no excuse for crossing these lines. There is a particular set of managers who run the company under their own moods and destructive behavior while exhibiting favoritism, abuse, and physiological warfare to create this toxic environment. Its the most back-stabbing environment which is so unprofessional. They will try to convince you on the companies growth, but that's a lie as well because there is no technology road map. Instead everyone is just trying to please one customer (leaving the others in the dust) fixing the products that don't work, plagiarizing other products , or playing the favoritism game. The worst is that their upper management is clueless on their customer needs, the needs of their employees and the California labor laws that will end them in a lawsuit. I believe that if Comet rids itself of 90% of the managers and hired true leaders that they would not have a recruiting issue that has made them so desperate. Unfortunately for them, it’s a small world and people talk and the way things are going they will return to just producing capacitors. Employees here work under ruthless intimidation and daily harassment, but over time it will cause negative heath issues until you realize your emotional heath has an effect on your physical body. People deserve respect, appreciation, and a sense of success and that doesn't exist here.
