I have never experienced a more toxic work environment than this one. It’s difficult to even know where to begin, so here it is in bullet points: • Rampant Discrimination and Favoritism Promotions here clearly depend on connections, not merit. A male colleague with no prior experience was promoted within his first month—without meeting any of his targets—simply because he charmed upper management and the CEO. Meanwhile, long-term, high-performing employees were repeatedly denied advancement. When they inquired about promotions, they were told it could only happen after 16 months, despite being initially promised one year. Even after meeting that timeframe, raises were still withheld. Leadership here clearly plays favorites, and it’s impossible to overlook the discriminatory dynamics at play. • Constant Changes with Zero Communication This company has existed for over a decade, yet it operates as if it's a chaotic startup. Policies, handbooks, contracts, and daily processes are changed almost every single day with no clear communication. There’s no structure, no clarity—just confusion and frustration. • Leadership That Thrives on Intimidation The director, in particular, is a toxic presence. She consistently mistreats her team, especially the recruiters. She doesn’t lead—she bullies. The way she speaks to people is demeaning and unprofessional. She gaslights, lies without hesitation, and regularly withholds bonuses by manipulating performance metrics. Example: I was told I needed to hire 18 people to earn a bonus—even though the original agreement was 15 hires per month. She changes the rules to avoid paying what’s owed and provides no transparency. * Now, let’s talk about the RBTs we were responsible for recruiting. The director constantly pushed us to use borderline harassing tactics just to get responses from them. It was not only uncomfortable—it was completely unethical. There was zero emphasis on genuine relationship-building; everything was reduced to a numbers game. It didn’t matter who the candidate was or what they needed—just hit the metrics, no matter the cost. Also - it is very very unprofessional as a company to have a CEO come in, barge, and yell throughout the entire office while the employees are there. Just an FYI. Final Thoughts Leaving was the best decision I made. I’ve blocked the entire leadership team on LinkedIn and moved on. No wonder they have such a HIGH turnover rate. I genuinely don’t see this company lasting much longer if they continue down this path. Give it a year—if that. Also - one star was more than generous. They deserve none.
