Pros

The recruiters here are truly amazing—likely the only redeeming quality of this company. I have not been here long but I can see how this place definitely tests that theory that shared struggles can create deep bonds. This is a position that does provide training and entry level experience for growth into what I believe will turn into a highly rewarding career.

Cons

The micromanagement at this company is outstanding. It has been my experience that not using specific words or phrases in a meeting will result in serious scolding. Individual thought is at times discouraged there are also numerous weekly meetings. There’s a noticeable trend towards group scolding, which breeds anxiety and fosters a fear-driven need for perfection amongst peers. There appears to be a strong focus on maintaining a certain image within corporate circles, sometimes at the expense of effectively leading the team. The management style can feel inconsistent and selective, with some employees experiencing more pressure than others. The absence of a formal HR department means that addressing issues can be difficult, and voicing concerns may not always be well-received. While recruiting is inherently demanding, the atmosphere here adds additional challenges that could be better managed. When I first came across some of the negative reviews about this company, I was apprehensive but gave it the benefit of the doubt. The owners assured me that those reviews were just from underperforming or disgruntled employees. However, after my time here, I can see there’s truth to those reviews. The micromanagement is stifling and the inconsistency in leadership is frustrating.

Thank you so much for the feedback! As you know, we crave feedback in order to continue our growth, and we solicit everyone for feedback frequently. Learning a new job from which you've had no experience can be hard and stressful. We make a genuine effort to alleviate that difficulty and stress by providing specific and well-documented processes that we know work. Many people love using those processes as a support system while they learn the job. Regretfully, I see that you view it as micro-management. There is a tough balancing act between providing value-added structure without it feeling like micromanagement. We will continue to work to find a middle ground that most appreciate.
