Pros

Free lunch, good people (usually) , flexible hours, social events every quarter, focus on work hard play hard mentality.

Cons

The company in the height of its success as Shopzilla was everything you wanted from a company. In recent years since Symphony bought the company there have been redundancies at least once a year with no clear business plan as to where they want to be. Top end management never seem to go and feed the same BS about being profitable and being the best in the business, yet whenever anyone moves on ex colleagues describe the technology and focus at connexity as very much dated. Connexity does not seem to care about people retention, many really good staff have come and gone because of money or being treated badly by senior management when sometimes all they wanted to do was progress there careers within the business. Pay was relatively low in comparison to similar job roles and the head of Europe had no idea how his petulant mood swings and frosty nature could demotivate an entire office. The company is clearly trying to buy it's way out of trouble but I have no doubt that redundancies are just around the corner again and eventually the European part of the business will either be run from the US or gone for good.

Pros

I love the company and the people there as a whole. Activities were fun and people were lovely to connect with. I learned a lot.

Cons

Management ruined my mental health and quality of life in this specific department. I worked non-stop and had high-stress levels. They did not uphold their value of a 'work-life balance'. I envied other departments and teams. There is a high turnover rate for a reason. I have seen multiple people come and go, some as short as a couple of months, because of management. Management was passive-aggressive and gave more work than one could handle. As soon as you were done with something, another task was put upon you with unrealistic expectations of perfection. Every person in my department loathed management. It was not until I left that I found peace and a work-life balance.

Pros

Great benefits and perks and decent salaries. Possible great opportunities to grow with recent acquisitions. Ton of industry knowledge

Cons

Executive leadership is definitely a corner office type of crowd. That said, you know they are running the business, but they lack that interaction with the different teams. The culture is tight knit and fun, but that leads to mediocrity in individual performance. People get let go only if they are really bad, but there is a culture of being ok with so-so work despite their push for wanting to be seen as a top performing organization.
