Pros
People we support Great team Supportive managers Benefits
Cons
Work life balance can be difficult sometimes
Pros
•Amazing supported individuals. •Excellent training •Staff work hard to meet the people we supports needs
Cons
• AD have no time to spend with their managers due to their work load increased since the restructure. •Managers are under a lot of pressure and over worked •Recruitment slow which impacts the services as Agency is being used but then being told to cut down on Agency which leaves the service vulnerable and staff over worked and burnt out. •Consensus Values have changed since the new CEO has come onboard and it’s not about the people we support it’s about how much money she can save.
Pros
Working for consensus, is a pleasure, working with great colleagues, amazing supported individuals, and ensuring great quality of care is provided every day. for myself i have been able to progress and develop within a company that values me and supports me to grow professionally and personally. i have been provided with the support and training to not only fulfil my role and support others, but too develop myself along the way. Great benefits and support given throughout employment. Company Values for the people with support at the forefront of everything we do and set out to achieve, and this is engrained through each of our services, managers and staff teams, to ensure best quality of care is achieved throughout.
Cons
some times for the role i am in, i need to travel, although this might seem a con to some, for me its important for my role.
Pros
Used to feel like a family run organisation where everyone looked out for each other. Then the new CEO arrived..... Within months shes ruined the company, all about money now. No support for managers. She sustematically sripped the company of its expertise in PBS, and PWS, lost loads of really experienced people from the organisation.
Cons
Non anymore sadly. My advice stay away from this company
Pros
Supportive managers Welfare services Regular check ins
Cons
Should have gone to work with them sooner
Pros
I highly recommend consenus to anyone considering a role in being a support worker or going higher in position. From the CEO,area managers ,managers, team leaders and staff are all incredibly wecoming, and i had the pleaure of meeting many of them during my induction period.the experience made me even more excited to work for the company.Management genuinely cares for service users and staff .ensures staff receive all the necessary training in a supportive and a pressure -free enviroment before working with any SU. there is also massive room for growth, making it a fantastic place to learn, develop, and make a real differnce. i was also given a wecome pack from the company which showed kindness which is one of the many companies main values.
Cons
I have not got any cons.
Pros
The people I worked with were amazing and were helpful, and the supported individuals we worked with made the job. The premises was clean and tidy.
Cons
The hourly pay was low, and I was told on the interview that for any overtime hours we worked which was a must during the pandemic, would be paid at £11.65, this never happened. The manager created a toxic work environment by gossiping about our colleagues and tried to get you involved and tried to decimate any morale amongst the group by putting people who were friendly on different shifts. There was about 20 pages a day of important admin and paperwork, this was all paper based. The laptop they did supply us with was an old acer laptop that barely worked, I had to bring in my laptop to do any training which there was a lot of. They said there were many chances to progress but I did not see this whilst working there.
Pros
Training & support with training is excellent. Staff are friendly, helpful & fun. Manager is always available for any questions or support. Very homely feel.
Cons
I haven’t got any cons
Pros
