Plenty of overtime hours, management are very supportive, can fit working pattern around my family.

The new CEO has ruined it all

Lovely staff, decent pay and benefits The CEO inspects the toilet brushes when she visits services and asks if they are clean!

Cons

The CEO has removed all the specialisms of what made Consensus great. She has removed the PWS specialists, RPI reduction lead and has made the Positive Behaviour intervention team feel so worthless that there is now only 3 out of 11 practitioners left. Many managers have left to follow the old CEO and MD as they have no faith in the rude, arrogant, and dangerously nieve CEO. Many people were made redundant and some jobs were halved very unprofessionally in a room full of people. No one respects Paula Keys Your services are now very unsafe.

Low pay. No funding. Sociopathic new CEO who follows the investors orders to make more and more profit regardless of the people who are directly impacted.

Pros

The people I worked with were amazing and were helpful, and the supported individuals we worked with made the job. The premises was clean and tidy.

Cons

The hourly pay was low, and I was told on the interview that for any overtime hours we worked which was a must during the pandemic, would be paid at £11.65, this never happened. The manager created a toxic work environment by gossiping about our colleagues and tried to get you involved and tried to decimate any morale amongst the group by putting people who were friendly on different shifts. There was about 20 pages a day of important admin and paperwork, this was all paper based. The laptop they did supply us with was an old acer laptop that barely worked, I had to bring in my laptop to do any training which there was a lot of. They said there were many chances to progress but I did not see this whilst working there.

Some nice staff People they support.

Cons

Weak management Hostile staff Low pay Bullying that management ignore Staff antagonising people they support who have challenging behaviours and management who witness this do nothing. Staff run the home and dictate too management High turnover of staff Assistant Manager aggressive and confrontational Depressing place to work Most unprofessional place I've ever worked Funny how all 5 Star ratings are from management.
