Pros

Interesting ideas and products. I hear it used to be better place to work before 2018.

Cons

- company is nothing like it shows itself online - big open space with 100 people stuffed inside - chaos and unorganized, 100 people grabbing food in a line and eating lunch at their work desks - even office plants are dead - planning to expand to 200 people in office space that can bearly fit 50 - horrible office location in the middle of nowhere (hard to reach) - CTO very unprofessional, openly making fun of employees

Be aware of office politics

Pros

The company has an informal culture with the potential to become a great organization. - Both offices offer free food and drinks. Although it is mentioned that free lunch and fruit is offered, in reality employees have breakfast, lunch and even have access to delivered dinner. And if you don't feel like the lunch matches your taste; just have lunch somewhere else and keep the receipt to get reimbursed. - Weekly bootcamp and yoga is offered - Free drinks on Friday - Informal culture - Pet friendly; you are allowed to bring your dog to the office. So if you are allergic to dogs, be aware of this.

Cons

- Indecisiveness and lack of communication from management. - Being too woke can result into oversensitivity. While it’s not my place to determine who has the more difficult struggle, admittedly when people are running around crying “discrimination” it can be easy to lose sight of what actual injustice looks like. - Speaking up is not always valued, participation in decision-making not welcome and don’t even think about suggesting the right to vote out regarding issues that have a direct influence on your work. - Clearly suffers from nepotism. Every once in a while management hires their ex-coworkers for positions they are not necessarily suitable for. Growth opportunities seem to be possible for them, yet growth opportunities for existing employees seem limited. - Responding time to internal issues and priorities are uneveven cross departments. - Uneven balance of right amount of employees; some departments desperately need more staff while other departments have more staff than the workload. - Personal growth is not appreciated in all departments. - Tech department is prioritized over innovation, ambition and creativity.

Be very careful, there be dragons here

Pros

Good office location (if you have a car), some decent people

Cons

The CTO runs the tech department like a despote on a sugar kick. He will be your best friend until you disagree once too often, after which you're literally gone. I've seen people who wanted to talk about their grievances with him disappear the next week far too often. The codebase is an absolute mess and there's little insentive to improve it, so if you want to do that, you're on your own. The way agile scrum is being performed is a joke and tech changes its tune about once every 3 weeks or so, very likely rendering your work up to that point useless or no longer relevant. Be very, very careful.
